WarSigil MUDDY GRASS MAT (Limited Edition)

Our lowest-cost and fastest-shipping mat. This is different from the Turf Mat fabric, with its own unique appearance! Available only in one color scheme, and one size 48″ x 61″ (essentially a Warhammer 44″ x 60″ size with a little extra fabric to allow for a couple of hills under the mat). Add-on features are not available for this mat.

Amazing color depth with muddy brown roots and green tips, great for a rainy meadow or forest floor.

Grass height suitable for scales from 25mm to 36mm and higher (40K, D&D, Bolt Action etc).

Recommended for 1” circle bases, movement trays, tanks and other securely-based figures.

Grass is woven teddy fabric (not glued static fibers), securely and permanently attached.

Handle roughly! This ultra-plush fabric mat is wrinkle-resistant and hard to hurt — roll it, fold it, stuff it into a bag without worries

*We will only be able to build a very limited number of these, as the base fabric has been discontinued by the manufacturer and we are limited to just the remaining stock on hand in our workshop.

The WarSigil MUDDY GRASS MAT is a roll-up tabletop terrain mat for role playing games, historical war-games, model railroads, or dioramas. Featuring real 3D grass textures that suggest wild tall grass appropriate for miniatures at most common scales of 25mm and up**, the Turf Mat is one of the most realistic and immersive surfaces available in a roll-up portable mat. Soft, drape-able, foldable 100% polyester faux fur, hand-colored to order with non-toxic pigments, the mat is play-ready, virtually odorless, doesn’t significantly wrinkle or shed, and doesn’t require any trimming.  You can smooth it down where you want it short, and fluff it up where you want more height.  The grass texture is soft enough to stand miniatures, roll dice, and blow in the breeze.  Grass is approximately 12mm tall when standing straight up, and to a 28mm figure on a base it appears about knee-level to mid-thigh in height.

Muddy Grass Mats weigh less than 3 lbs (1.75 kg) and don’t require a long tube, so shipping costs are lower. They ship folded in a smaller package, protected by a waterproof poly bag (unless ordered with a mat of another type in which case they ship rolled with the other mat in a tube or long box).

Please note that we have little or no on-hand inventory for these made-to-order items. As mats are hand-made to your customization and not mass-produced stock items, please allow a 90-day minimum processing time before we reach your place in the queue and your order ships.

Size is approximate and may slightly vary as fabric can stretch or shrink a bit during processing.

**Grass texture is best suited for 25mm scale and larger. For small scale grass plains at 6mm – 15mm, I recommend a Rough Mat with the Foliage add-on.
