Microscale Mats

Announcing the launch of a new line of printed beefy-soft cloth mats available in eight designs and three sizes, conceived to provide a grass option for small scales like 6mm, 10mm, and 15mm. Even better, the level of detail really works for any miniature scale. That makes these a great all-purpose battle-ready surface for those of you who play different and larger scales but dislike the “teddy bear fur” type of mats. The designs are detailed but display no ‘constructed’ features like roads or anything that would limit their use to a specific scale. We call them “scale-agnostic” and any future designs will also conform to this standard, adding microscale options for all seasons and diverse environments.

Besides a great-looking print, the mats are a perfect weight that’s heavy enough to lay flat and resists accidentally moving and wrinkling them with every touch or troop movement, but also soft enough to still drape perfectly over hills and any objects you place underneath for elevation, with simulated texture that has no effect or impedance on die rolls, and figures stand securely no matter how they’re based. Durable and washable, with hemmed edges, it’s a non-glossy tabletop mat that stays put and doesn’t show white when ‘rubbed the wrong way.’

We’ve tried just about every printed cloth option out there over several years, and this is by far the best thing we’ve seen. We’re so excited to present a product that checks all the boxes for what we wanted to offer, especially with a maximum size of 60” x 80”.
